A Brief Introduction for Forest Han Born in 1964 in Liaoning Province of China, Forest Han, formerly called Lin Han, currently lives in Los Angeles, California. His ancestral home is Fuling City, which is in Sichuan Province, China. Han became a professional art designer when he started his work in 1981. He won the Outstanding Prize at the Youth Artist Painting Exhibition in Fushun, with his early oil painting works: “The Portrait of Linda”, and “The Harvest”. Yet he was best known for his still-life paintings with themes such as fruits, flowers, koi carps. At the same time he also focuses on portraiture and landscapes. As he reads and collects a large amount of artistic materials, and visits the art exhibitions and art fairs, he lays a solid foundation for his oil painting creations. The dominant color red, which in traditional Chinese culture represents auspiciousness and happiness, has been displayed in his works. On the other hand, his creation also fuses the style of Western classical paintings, which emphasize the bright color for close-up perspectives. Through his different works, Han brings out the spirit of the times. The reason of his work continues attracting people is the reflection of the ideal life. The artist pursues the perfect combination of the new era of art and the modern lifestyle. In 2007, he cooperated with Yibaolong Gallery. Dozens of his work, including “Melody of Autumn”, “Moonlight over the Lotus Pond”, “Koi Pond” have been collected by Chinese and foreign buyers. In 2010, the artist continued his professional oil painting creation when he moved to the United States. In April of this year, Michael Han attends the Art Expo New York 2015.
